BRING THE CHILDREN!
That's right! No matter what the age, there's something special to be found at First Presbyterian Church.
For example: Children's Church is conducted by Whitney Meek, assisted by 10 volunteers on a rotating basis. It's a time for crafts, songs for children from pre-K through third grade.
The Nursery is located on the second floor of the church, near the children's church classrooms, and is staffed 9-11:30 a.m. each Sunday. Tiffani Cook heads the nursery -- which provides care for ages infant through toddlers -- and is assisted by 5 volunteers working on a rotating schedule. Silent pagers are available for parents of nursery children.

All it takes to be a member of this fun Wednesday afternoon group is the permission of a parent or guardian. This diverse bunch of youngsters -- grades pre-kindergarten through 5 -- meets weekly from 3:30 to 5 p.m. to learn about God’s great world and God’s love for them through stories that we listen and watch, songs and crafts. Some of the children in Kids Klub attend this church and others do not. Come and be part of this fun group!
Several members of Kids Klub participated in the worship service last Sunday. They sang a of . The congregation was richly blessed by their music. They sang very enthusiastically -- or as one little girl exclaimed: "We sang so loud!" Click on this link to watch the video of them singing!
Assistance with homework and improving academic skills is provided for students of all ages every Tuesday during the school year at the church from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Several volunteers assist with this service, and most of them have teaching experience and advanced degrees. If this time doesn’t work or additional help is needed, we will make every effort to meet the needs of the student. We also have a computer lab plus a library with quite a few books to read for pleasure or school work. Please call the church office at 253-4581 to arrange a meeting with one of our volunteers.
