Our church was one of 19 congreagtions from throughout the area to provide financial support for the construction of a new house through Halifax Habitat for Humanity. In addition to the faith community partnership, MASCO Contractor Services was the main sponser, and they were joined by other businesses and volunteers. The result was a four bedroom house for Janice Adams and her family on Lagoni Circle in Daytona Beach. The dedication ceremony was Tuesday, May 15, and Pastor Eme was invited to participate by presenting a Bible to Janice for her new home. In doing so she quoted Psalm 119:105, encouraging the new home owner to let "God's word be your guide in everything you do and say...that you life may shine in this world to show God's love for all." Dr. Rick Acquaro, chair of the Mission Committee, was also among a large crowd at the dedication. ?
